Max, Your stats show another 10% increase in Sacramento County FITs this week (401 to 439). Some people say this market has reached the bottom and will bounce back in the spring. With these kinds of stats on file, it is clear the correction is just beginning. These FITs are are the tip of the overvalued iceberg, yet they probably represent $200,000,000 in real estate value....(well, O.K., $100,000,000 in 2008). Their debt service sucks out $10,000,000 per year in carry from these borrowers. They will be bailing out of these deals by next spring for any price they can get.
Holy Moley! I came to your site via The Housing Bubble Blog and I knew things were bad but seeing the actual numbers is truly frightening.
I'd love to see the numbers for Los Angeles. Where do you get that information?
Keep up the good work. I love pointing housing bulls to your site and watching their mouth drop. Home prices are falling faster than a fat guy who lost his footing. Were looking at 50% declines in no time. I heard Sacramento had 58 foreclosures where homes were taken back in just one week in October. If you multiply that by 52 you get 2,808 homes the banks have to dump. We are only at the beginning.
New phrase instead of being priced out of the market we can have flippers who are priced into the market. Am I right? Yeah I am right.

Just a suggestion:
Since most people read top-to-bottom as meaning longest-time-ago to present, it might be more clear for you to present your prices top to bottom with purchase price on top, subsequent asking prices below, and present price on the bottom.
