3000 FIT's by next year. No takers for the Delvan Circle giant stucco crap boxes I can't imagine why.
Perfect Storm, You must quit exaggerating. There was only a 3% increase in FITs this week, down from a 7.3% increase last week (977 vs. 946).
So let's see, if we use a 3% compounding rate, we will reach 3000 FITs in....... oops, 38 weeks.
As I said Perfect, you must quit understating the FIT problem. We will have 3,000 FITs before next year.

Actually, they seem to come in fits and starts. This might have more to do with a point Sippn made last week. More and more of these are bank REOs, and they tend to list en masse.
My stats tell me that flipper inventory (as well as FIT inventory) is increasing faster than overall inventory... should be an interesting Spring.

The key to this FIT scenario is how bad real estate related employment will get hit. Now if I remember right Feb 06 was a really bad year for sales and now they say Feb 07 is worse, now does that mean sales are down by 50% from the peak. If so then 50% of real estate related jobs should be history.

Today, every "start" just produces another FIT. It is going to be that way for a while until the home builders lay off (pun intended here to, Perfect) all the starts.
Hey just wanted to say thanks for the grerat blog. All you bubble bloggers are providing a tremendous service to the public, whether they like it or not! I just saw a chart the other day, I think through some state Asociation of Realtors it showed back in 1999-2001 or so there were about 700,000 or so Realtors in the US. That number increased significantly over the next few years, in fact it just about doubled. As of 2005-2006 it said there are now some 1,300,000 Realtors. So yes a 50% reduction in the number of Realtors should be about right.
In a weak moment, I had a real estate license back a few recessions ago - 1981+ (let it expire). I got a chance to list and sit on 2 REO's. There was a reason they were REO's ...they were boring and the poor market exposed them.
Looking at the FITs on Delevan (as well as a few in Lincoln, etc.) these investors bought them under construction and did not spend one penny on upgrades and extras but attempted to sell them at the fully loaded price. Exposed by the market.
Nobody wants $1 tile and $5 rug at $900K. Big square footage without nice finishs is nothing more than cubic air....empty.
I would be very curious to know the most popular zip codes for FITs.
