Wow, there were only 500 FITs last week in Sacramento County. That is a 6.8% increase in Greater Fools over a 7 day period.

I agree, the sponsorship sucks. I figured a bunch of RE/financial type ads would work best, but my success has been limited.

A stagnating market is when all the nasty stuff starts floating to the surface. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Lincoln is just the beginning.

All this peeps are headed for foreclosures. I propose a simple solution (another category of loans)to sustain housing and stop this spiral of foreclosures. This saves the buyer and the lender and the real estate industry in this country.
-Make open-ended loans...or someting like "till-dead-do-us-part" loans. It works something like this. Take a $400K loan for say $500 a month....and on your death the the house reverts to the lender. Assume you got the house at age 30 and lived till 80, you would have paid $300K so far...yet the house still belongs to the lender...and both make out just fine. No stress. no wahala!!!. You should be able to manage $500 a month payments even with a few months job loss. I would go this type of loan anyday.
Just for fun, I looked at the tax bills of all of these properties. Of the 49 houses posted, 36 had delinquent property taxes.
In virtually all of the cases the supplemental tax bil was way bigger than the annual bill (probably a surprise to many of the flippers!) Now, if they don't have the $3-9,000 for property taxes, how ling can they make the mortgage payments? (granted, in CA you have to go 5 yearsa before the taxman can sell you out to get back taxes, but.......)
