This is hilarious. The very last listing on Fruitridge is still available and the price is reduced? I would have guessed the bargain price of $1,450,000 for 1600 sf house on 4 acres would entice someone to snap it up in this frenzied real estate market. This "Fruity on Fruitridge" buyer grossly overpaid when he bought it for $570,000 18 months ago. Hope he is not servicing a loan....
All these flippers should be forced to take a tour of the new home builders' sites, where the builders are cutting prices to $150/sf on new 2,000 sf homes. (yes, $300,000). The builders are the ones that will be resetting the market values, because they can produce the product for 50% of where these greedy flippers are setting their prices. The flippers are dead in the water.....
'Fruity on Fruitridge' must have heard about the exposure, as Thursday the 31st at 10 am it is now listed for $1,300,000. It's now the lowest asking price yet, wow, a bargain (NOT).
Hope that greedy SOB agent/owner eats dirt.
Makes you wonder how many of these ridiculous flippers are agents themselves. I know of one home in Alameda that was bought by an agent in Sept 05 for $729,000, but he sold it this June for $689,000. And yet we were still being told by the press that when the agents are buying to flip, it must still be a good time, cause they are apparently all-knowing about the markets.
A great time to lose money flipping, that is!! $40,000 in nine months, not bad!! Bye bye, down payment.
I had to work hard to convince my girlfriend to NOT buy at that time. She thanks me now, daily, especially after I showed her that same home being sold at the ask in June.

My husband transfered to Sac in March. I am thankful for all of your insights into the market. We are waiting to list our out of state Atlanta home...3,300 sq. ft. with huge lot{20.000 ft.} pool and spa. Is late winter early spring too soon to buy in Sac? Will we have to rent in Sac. to find the right home with a large lot and decent price?
